  '-The point is, Kayne really feels that Arthur misunderstands him. Case and point; he had to do so much to get John to get Arthur to New York and touch the stone so finally he could show Arthur the other universes and send him off to find the black stone, and Arthur still doesn't trust him.

  This is the first time in a long long while that I feel normal again; Jake decided to himself.

  It wasn't completely true, and he knew that. He doesn't actually remember when things went from him always being in danger because of something unnatural and unexplainable—unless you've seen as much as people in his line of work see—happening to him being able to go out and buy this week's groceries without needing to think about anything else but how much of every item he has. His life has been slowly shifting to something calmer without him even noticing.

   

  OR a while after getting out of the hospital, Jake reflects on the whole "blackrabbit situation". It starts with a lot of nightmares and spiraling and ends with him calling a friend.
