Summary
There were secrets between them, some being less opaque than others, but it was their mutual agreement that they were to stay that way for the time being. They trusted each other, maybe more so than any other being. Kaeya knew Albedo was more or less aware of the circumstances surrounding him as he was of Albedo. At some point down the line, sharing small moments became a need than want. A person that could understand you better than anyone, that was the role they had in each other’s lives.
And so, Kaeya became more aware of just how fine this situation was. If he was going to rebuild his relationship with his brother, then Albedo was to become a part of it one way or another.

“What are you doing, Kirara?”
“Coming with you, duh,” she scoffed. “Did you think you could just leave me like that?”
It’s not that he wanted to leave his friend behind. The only thing that crossed his mind when they told him he was expelled was that Kirara would be without him.
She was strong though, she would make it out. He would bet on her every time. And maybe it was for the best, she’d no longer be marked with the title of being his friend.
“Go back inside,” he demanded. There was no kindness in his words.
“Fuck that and fuck this place.” She shook her head, crossing her arms in front of her. The sunset lowered, her purple eyes soaking up the pinks and orange from the sky.
“Kirara, you are too fucking smart and have too much potential. Go back, don’t ruin your life.”
“I’m not doing this without you, Kin. Any of it.”
