“I never knew you were such a romantic, nii-san.” Something twinges in Kiryu's chest; maybe he’s pulled a muscle. “Next time I kick your ass, maybe I’ll bring flowers.”
“Nah, don’t bother.” Majima huffs out smoke and stares up at the moldy ceiling. He sounds bored of the joke already. “I got allergies anyway.”
It’s funny to think of Majima, who bulled through being stabbed and shot and drowned by sheer force of personality, being brought low by hay fever. Kiryu’s chest twinges again. He should microwave a bag of rice to put on that when he gets home.

Summary
Starting at the end of Yakuza 4- Kiryu visits Majima in a holding cell just before the finale, and invites Majima to come visit him and the kids in Okinawa. It isn’t long into the visit before the long standing feelings Kiryu has tried to keep buried are revealed.
How long will Kiryu and Majima be able to hold on to this whirlwind of a relationship before they both have to return to their lives?
Spoilers for up to at least Yakuza 5. Rating for later chapters.

"The fuck am I gonna be mad at you about?" Majima snorts. "Yer gonna move to Okinawa and be a happy tanned single mother of twenty, or however many kids it is, until ya find a nice responsible husband or girlfriend to move in and help out. It'll be some real heartwarming daytime TV movie shit. I get cavities every time I think about it."
Kiryu blinks at her, clearly bewildered. "Do you worry about that a lot?" she says cautiously. "Me marrying someone else?"

Summary
Asking Kiryu on a date is supposed to be a joke. It’s just another in Majima’s long list of contrived reasons for Kiryu to get mad enough at him to fight him.
So he’s thrown for a loop when Kiryu doesn’t answer him by punching him in face, but by accepting.
Obviously Kiryu’s playing along, just like he did with the bartender scheme, and with Goromi, and everything else. Majima can work with that. There’s no way he’ll crack before Kiryu does.
Or: Majima commits to the bit so hard he ends up in a long-term relationship.
