Perhaps, however, if the House of Claremont were to be so inclined, this spouse could be very well provided by them.
Alex drops the letter as if he’d been burned. “Oh my god,” he croaks out. “June’s getting married?”
“Oh, sugar,” Ellen takes his chin in her hand, thumb rubbing soothing circles over his cheek.
