The total sum of those few hours’ work at the library was his unequivocal conviction that he met his match in Caitlin Snow. The way her mouth moved around words like ‘sidereal’ and ‘orbital period’, how she talked with her hands and recited the Earth’s gravitational constant by heart took him hook, line and sinker.
