Summary
That all changed when the museum introduced a new exhibit.
It started as a whisper in the staff lounge. Two curators hunched over a stack of mock-ups, speaking in the breathless tones reserved for something big. Merlin didn’t pay attention at first. New exhibits came and went. Vikings. Renaissance masters. Lost empires. He’d lived through most of them and guided tours through all of them.
But then he heard the name.
“—a comprehensive Arthurian collection,” one of them said. “Artifacts, manuscripts, reconstructed weaponry. We’re calling it The Once and Future King: Myth and Man.”
