Summary
Most would consider Veritas Ratio to be a wise individual. That was his universal claim to fame, after all. A true, honest genius, though, not a Genius. And he certainly did not feel like a Genius currently, in the throes of ecstasy, entangled with his sometimes-rival sometimes-lover yet always trusted confidant, Aventurine of the Stratagems.
He certainly was not wise when he expressed only mild shock at teeth sinking so far into the skin of his neck that blood pooled from his flesh. Aventurine had always been mouthy, after all, both in and out of the bedroom, perhaps this was just the startling but natural progression of the behavior. Ratio would have to lecture him about it later. But right now, as his eyes clouded over with lust and Aventurine lapped at his neck like a starved dog, he couldn’t bring himself to admonish him.

The most important day for Aventurine was finally there. Today he was going to confess his feelings to Ratio, who was about to return from his latest expedition. But fate wouldn't let him even attempt this gamble, as his beloved Doctor went missing before he returned to Pier Point. And when Aventurine finally saw Ratio again, he was trapped in a gigantic crystal made out of amber. Aven was going to do everything to save his beloved doctor, but the true danger was yet to show themselves: An unknown emanator laid eyes upon the scholar and wanted him all for himself—even if it meant breaking the man.

Once he was on his feet, Ratio promptly scooped him up into his arms. His face burned as a nipple poked into his cheek, although the doctor himself seemed not to have noticed. Aventurine, however, did. He must have whispered some teasing remark into Ratio's ear, judging by the blush he could see spreading down the doctor's neck.
