Summary
Maybe she’s half persuaded by the third best friend of John B’s trio that he always mentions. The one that Sarah’s said more than once, pensively, that they’d be good together. Whenever Kiara tries to drag them to some gig or to laser tag or to get ice cream at 3am. It’s an idle, oh, this is a JJ thing tossed over her head, between themselves, like a universally acknowledged fact.
aka: jj and kiara are apparently made for each other. until they're really not.

Summary
They look at each other in silence. He must look like crap. The bruises from old fights haven’t even faded yet, and already new ones are overlaying them. She, on the other hand, is the best thing he’s seen all week, even with his blood on her hands. (In times like this, he thinks getting beaten half to death isn’t so bad.)

Summary
She felt like she was walking towards a wave that was too high, standing ankle deep on the shoreline as it barrelled towards her, ready to consume.
Kie felt dizzy, felt high, like she’d taken a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart and it made her knees feel a little weak.
It was good.
She wanted to chase that feeling. So she parted her lips and walked into the wave.
“Hey Jay?”
The boy looked up from where he was brushing grains of sand from his thighs and he met her gaze with the same expectant heat she knew was in her own. It simmered between them, bubbled and popped and god.
“Wanna try something?”
Or, the friends with benefits/secret dating fic no one really asked for.

Summary
“Objectively speaking, do you think I’m a good kisser?”
JJ fumbled with the zippo, the flame licking at his fingers when he dropped it, not bothering to search for it when it tumbled into the long grass. The boy looked up at Kie from under the brim of his hat, his eyes surprised and his lips parted. He still held the unlit joint in his hand, unmoving.
He cleared his throat before he answered, kept his eyes on her and wondered if it was a trick question. But the girl looked serious, her brown eyes on his and her mouth set in a thin line. Kie raised her brows at him.
“Well?” She prompted.
“With the way you argue?” JJ smirked, “I can only imagine.”
Or, five times JJ and Kie kissed and told themselves it didn’t mean anything and one time they couldn’t lie anymore.
