Summary
The Milkovich household is a very tightly controlled one. There are no televisions, computers, or cell phones allowed. Terry writes all of his sermons by hand, and the only phone is a landline in his bedroom, which is to only be used by Terry for emergencies. Mickey has only ever seen it get touched when his mother died. The people who came to take her away had said it was some disease, cancer or something like that. But Terry had told all the kids that she’d been possessed by demons. All diseases are just demonic possession, at least, that’s what Mickey’s family believes.

Mickey’s part of an extremely religious cult, and Ian’s just the poor bastard that gets caught up in all of this shit, but falls hard for Mickey anyway.
