Even if they're being subjected to torture, or exploited for their nature, no one would bat an eye, no.
Because who would have the energy to care about the lives of these inferior creatures that they can't even understand—let alone talk to—when they've already had enough on their plates as it is, living in such an inhumane and ruthless place as the City?

Or perhaps they should prepare a homemade dinner date? With a perfectly-roasted chicken and some alcohol, while being dressed up in right, proper suits?

These clans, that should have clashed and fought until one completely eliminates the other, shall receive a different kind of fate, a better one, as a certain Mentor and Wakashu coincidentally come together, at first for the sake of their friends, their families, their homes,

Thus, Meursault followed the sound to his living room, and saw, standing in front of his fireplace, a young man wearing the ugliest sweater Meursault had ever seen.

Meursault continues to surprise himself by having passionate desires towards a suspected criminal wearing the worst, most unappealing, eye-straining sweater he had ever seen.
Oh, he's also carrying a giant, suspiciously bloody sack. That's certainly also a crime.
