Summary
Omen had a tiny issue about being out and about: He stood out, like a sore thumb. And he hated the attention. Once Killjoy realized it, she worked on a device that could disguise him and allow him to have a fun time out, except, that did not convince him to go out at all. However when Cypher suggests they go together instead, doing just boring things together and taking it easy... maybe he's interested.

Summary
There’s a firm hand on his shoulder and Omen tilts his head to the side imploringly. “I need to assess your injuries,” he says, voice low over the quiet rustling of leaves.
Cypher’s head throbs dully, his sight blurring as dark spots flicker before his eyes. Omen dares to wait only a moment longer before he begins reaching for the mask, gloved hands sliding over the hard material and moving towards the back.
The words settle in, finally, and Cypher pushes past the pain in his arm enough to raise his gun. It points straight at the Radiant’s head. Omen instantly goes still.
“Don’t,” he rasps.
A warning, not a plea.
(The path to trust is a long and winding road.)

Summary
“It may not all be a lie,” she hums absent-mindedly. “Who knows, maybe once the sky did look like that.”
“Must have been a long time ago,” he says bitterly, fingers twitching and curling in his palms.
“Thousands of years, likely more.”
“Eternity then,” he drawls.
“Not quite,” she says, burning gaze searching for his. She is as difficult to look at as the false sky. “Blink and the time will slip through your fingers.”

Summary
“Akechi,” Ren says.
“Shut up.” Akechi snaps again, as dismissively as the first time. He stands with his gun resting against his hip, pinches the bridge of his nose and shuts his eyes tight. “Shut up, I need to think.”
“Akechi, have you been, uh,” Ren taps his foot nervously against the floor. Can’t bear to get his hopes up. “Have you been repeating today too?”

Summary
Why have one champion when you can have them both? A bet between gods that decides humanity's fate. Yaldy knows that the outcome is certain, now with both tricksters under his grasp. Yet Humanity's sponsor is confident. The ‘god’ of the velvet room does not sway. It’s incomprehensible.
Everything is going according to plan.
Isn’t it?
Akechi is certain that these upstart Phantom thieves' rumors are of far greater consequence. He realizes this when the castle that once loomed over Shujin Academy was gone post-Kamoshida’s confession. Gone yet replaced, by something larger. Darker. He is certain it holds the final piece he needs for his plans. All he has to do is recruit one lonely boy over to his side.
One misunderstanding later and Ren finds himself isolated at school. Burdened by the rumors of his own past-and-present actions. He takes the hand of someone unexpected.
-
Akechi and Ren team up against the PT’s and Shido.
