Summary
Kaveh has a bad day at work— everything that could go wrong goes wrong. He wakes up late for a client meeting. Spills coffee on himself.
Finds out he's missing a blueprint halfway through his presentation.
Somehow he's also missing his house keys.
It starts to rain as he trudges home, and he almost laughs. He doesn't start to run, doesn't pull out his umbrella—he probably forgot to bring it out anyway—he just takes another step forward, dragging his soggy shoes through muddy rainwater.
The walk home is short, but Kaveh knows it won't be a while until he's actually inside
Ugh. Alhaitham was probably the one who took Kaveh's key, too. He always snags both by accident on his way out. This bad day was all his fault! But to Kaveh's surprise, he's greeted not by a cold, dark foyer and drawn curtains, but by warm light shining from inside the house; the front door held open by none other than Alhaitham.

Summary
-Months have passed since Sumeru was taken over by the rot, infecting people and turning them into monsters. A few months ago Kaveh—Alhaitham’s beloved roommate, went missing. It is very much expected that he has become infected, but Alhaitham refuses to believe it. But the image of Kaveh infected and killing other human beings makes Alhaithams stomach twist.
-Currently, Alhaitham was patrolling the desert in case any stray infected made their way near base. A sudden rustle caught his attention.
-Dendro swords at the ready, he prepared to attack..until he saw who it was on the sand. He immediately lowered his swords and put them away, his normally stoic face shifted into pure shock.
“..Kaveh?”
