Summary

At first glance it seems simple, easy - transport a carbonite pod from one system to another - but when a malfunction on board his new ship complicates matters, plans change. And when he begins to get to know his latest quarry, attachments on both sides threaten a new kind of danger.
The last thing Din Djarin needs is another passenger to protect. Only this time it's a girl, not a child, with Jedi powers and a half-remembered past that forces the Mandalorian to deal with his most recent loss the only way he knows how: by avoiding it entirely, becoming overprotective, making bad decisions and involving himself in yet another sidequest with questionable results.

The Kaminoans started with cloning technology before the war, their advancements in genetic science catching all the right (and wrong) attention. The war is now in full swing, and having even the slightest advantage can be the difference between life and death for many. The advantage here is you, a unique clone created from different genetic material than the troopers with genetic enhancements that allow your body to sustain and recover from extensive damage. Your cutthroat past of heartless violence is behind you, but you'll soon realize that history has a funny way of catching up with people.
The Kaminoans have 'leased' you to the Grand Army of the Republic, and you spend most of your time going from mission to mission without much time off in between, but that's how you like it; you taking suicide ops solo, completing the mission, and then debriefing whatever General is in charge before boarding the next transport and heading off to your next job.
And then you're transferred to the 501st. Of course, emotions and shenanigans ensue.
