   Summary

   Graves is home, safe and sound. He’ll have a few scars, but little lasting damage. It’s a miracle, really. He’d never expected to escape Grindelwald alive. Which doesn’t explain the way people treat him like he’s made of glass, or his own doubt burrowed deep inside. He sees the mistrust in people’s eyes, the thought that maybe they should have hired someone who was actually competent. He might even agree.

   Newt Scamander is surprisingly easy to talk to. He even manages to pose some interesting topics that don’t make Graves feel as though he ought to resign. And there’s something about Newt, something in the way he looks up at Graves, that makes him want to take, and he feels found for the first time since… well, since he was found.
