"What's that behind you?" she murmured, her eyes now fixed on the flying bison, which was still keeping a respectful distance.
"That's Appa, my flying bison," he replied.
She looked at the animal for a few more seconds and then her gaze returned to the boy in front of her. "Can I ask you something else?"
"...Yes?"
"Can we go for a ride with Appa?" she asked suddenly, her tone cheerful and hopeful.
Aang blinked, visibly confused. "Uh, sure... I guess..."
