Summary
For Greta and Carson, children had always been a maybe - something to consider in the future, once they had better jobs or a bigger apartment. It had always been easier to push the problem into another day, burying it under practicalities until they could no longer see the worries and fears hidden down below.
Except now, surrounded by growing families, Carson begins to wonder if they could build that life together after all.
(Or Greta and Carson have a baby together and Carson figures out what it means to be a dad)

Summary
But like everything else she’d experienced since that very first morning on the streets of Chicago, it was different with Greta. She knew Carson’s body as if it were an extension of her own, knew the places where touch was always okay and the places where it would make Carson recoil and stiffen up unwittingly. To an outsider, it seemed like any other beauty consultation taking place in a cosmetics store but the reality was a much more intricate ritual as Greta worked her way across Carson’s skin.
Or Carson takes a risk and decides to visit Greta whilst she's working at Vivienne Hughes Cosmetics.

Summary
18. Skirts - The only issue Greta had with her uniform was that it was much better suited to a dancer than a baseball player, something that had become exceedingly clear after she had slid into third base that afternoon.
I have also succumbed to doing Leaguetober (thank you Ally Baldwin for the prompts!) despite knowing I probably won't finish it. The title is from the poem I Swear Somewhere This Works by Trista Mateer - shoutout to @gretacarsons on Tumblr for the beautiful edit that brought the poem to my attention!
