He flicks his eyes to Sapnap, sees him quirking an eyebrow. Just as quickly, he looks away. “What about him? You get any info?”
“No,” George says quickly – then hesitates. “Maybe. Do you know why we’re hunting him?”
or; before Dream was a target for George to hunt, he was George's first love -- and he was going to save the world.

It's not that Dream is jealous -- it's just that he's been thinking about it. George, and men, and kissing. It's just that he's been wondering what it might be like: to kiss a guy, to kiss a friend, to kiss George. He's been wondering and hoping, privately, that it might be something he's allowed to do, too.

“You’re so annoying,” Dream insists, but his face brightens with a boyish smile, temple meeting the heel of his hand as he drags a leg from the water to prop on the planks. “But if I have to spoil it, I guess I can tell you that I have a little surprise.”
“A surprise for me? On your birthday?” George grows bright with amusement, nudging against Dream several times in succession, a skipping stone on Dream’s side. “That’s just embarrassing.”
Or; against his will, George dreams a new dream. One where it's August, one where he's young again, one where it's still just him and Dream against the world.

"Sorry," George drones mildly, seeming unruffled besides a flush crawling up his neck. His eyes slide only momentarily back to Dream, sharp under eyebrows arched in faux-confusion -- a spotlight he preens under until it flickers away, back to the LED coveted against his palm. "I just had to adjust myself." He wiggles for emphasis, letting out a self-satisfied sigh. Dream's nails threaten to break skin.

“Whatever,” Dream says, swiping away the browser in front of him. Internally, George cheers. “That’s it. I’m leaving. I’m sick of you.” Huffing indignantly, he flutters to the ground and storms towards the door, hoodie billowing dramatically with unseen wind.
Inches from the frame, his figure dissolves, reappearing on the far side of the room. “Oh, come on.”
“You’re boxed,” George notes blankly, struggling to smother a smile as Dream glares flatly back in response.
