Summary
150 years ago, the Fire Nation attacked the Air Nomads, leaving destruction in their wake to find the Avatar. It was the last time anyone would see the Avatar and go on to the second war, with the Fire Nation reigning over the remaining Nations.
It would be 149 years later when the Avatar is found and sent on the journey to restore the balance he had left unbalanced for so long.

“What?” Ochako asked herself, placing her hands on the ice. Unlike the coolness she was expecting the ice to be, it was warm to touch. Almost like life had breathed into the ice, warming it up. She wondered briefly what was in it. It surely had to be an animal right? In the centre was a large mass of shadow, hinting at her suspicion, and squinting she could see…something in there. Something human-like.
Shit. There was someone in there.
