The trolley contained sheet music in labeled folders, a portable speaker, two backup portable speakers, a printed program ('An Afternoon of the American Songbook, curated and performed by Rachel Barbra Berry'), and a clipboard with a feedback form, because, she explained, unsolicited, before Judy had said one full sentence, an audience's response data was a performer's most valuable resource.
OR:
After her divorce, Judy Fabray takes a job at a retirement village coordinating volunteer performers. As she gets to know Rachel - loud, obnoxious, and impossibly talented - she realizes the girl who won't stop talking might help her reach the daughter who barely talks to her at all.
