When Scully asked Mulder to help out with the IVF, she didn’t really take into consideration that everyone they knew – friends, family and enemies – would be bound to find out about it.
Set during S6, in a world where M/S kept the X-Files and Fowley has been working in some other division with Spender. And Pendrell hasn’t died. Basically, this is satisfactorily canon-divergent.

On the heels of Scully's cancer remission, she learns of her infertility and that Mulder knew about it. She needs to reassess her life and the possibility of a having a baby through IVF as both she and her partner navigate the events of Seasons 5-7. This is a canon-compliant retcon. Summary

It's a retcon, mostly canon-compliant (considering even some canon episodes do not make sense when put together) and deals with the events from Season 5 post-cancer until what should have been the lead up to Season 9, including Emily Sim, Diana Fowley, IVF and the secret MSR we didn't get to see, in my canon-with-a-twist interpretation.

This is an original case fic within the You're Not Alone world. It contains explicit sexual situations and references to canon events. Some parts of the story WILL contain graphic descriptions of violence and aftermath of crimes. No kink or other character pairings.
