Summary
Five raised his glass to the rafters. “I’m home,” he said simply. “I’d like to take the time to enjoy that, y’know.”
Diego watched him pour another drink, suddenly understanding him. He’d been gone a long time, lost in a really terrible place that probably never felt like home unless he could somehow forget he was the last soul on Earth. ‘Home’ meant a lot to him.
When Five’s glass was ready again, Diego raised his own, still half-full. “To being home,” he said.
That earned him a smile, a real one that managed to soothe the crease in Five’s brow and make him look so incredibly young in its sincerity, and so incredibly old in its deep gratitude. He raised his glass and clinked it against Diego’s. “To finally being home.”

Summary
“What do you want?” Five spits, blood seeping from beneath him and crawling across the ground.
The man leans down so his face is inches from Five’s, a hand grabs a clawful of sweat-mussed hair, forcing the younger to look up at him. He smiles with filed teeth flashing in the dim light, and speaks too quietly for Allison to hear. Five stops struggling, freezing in place at whatever is being whispered into his ears.
The man lets him go with force, Five topples to his side and lays unmoving for several seconds. The suit steps over him like a log, stalking toward her with a gleeful smile. “We’ll start with her,” he says cheerfully.

“Can you take me to the Library?” Five asked bluntly after a momentary pause, he raised one eyebrow expectantly.
If it were anyone else, Luther probably would have told them to go to Diego or Viktor or someone else who could drive legally. He was cleaning his room, something he had been putting off for the past few days and was just now getting started on. And if he were being honest, he hadn’t been prepared to leave the academy today, and so found himself inappropriately dressed for going out in public.
But it was Five in front of him right now.

“Hey Five,” the crackly answering machine relayed to him, “It’s Viktor. Just wanted to let you know, I bumped into Klaus the other day- at the employment office, can you believe it? Didn’t think he was the 9 to 5 type. Anyway, he’s all fine and I gave him your number, he said he’d spread it to the others when he got the chance. So, um… yeah. Call me back when you can. Bye.”
Five listened to the message three times in total, his brother’s voice bouncing off the crooked walls. When it ended, the silence crept back in like a heavy fog until Five could remember he was sitting in a darkened, shabby room, utterly alone.
He needed something to drink.

Five gets a new job, a new life a new universe. Then why did it feel like nothing had changed at all?Everything that happened after the Hargreeves were blown into a new reality, told through messages on Five's answering machine. None of which he'd answer, of course. Just being around his family could put their new lives at risk- the further he could keep, the safer they'd be. It was better that way.
Didn't make it easier.

Having gone nowhere fast on the other side of Oblivion, Five ends up in a mental institute for it.Diego and Klaus track him down after a couple months to come take him to the new family home, unprepared for how they find him.
