He’d forgotten about the mic for a moment. “All those poor kids settling in front of the TV to watch their favourite player, and instead they have to listen to his rival’s bad, bad language. Tut tut, Hollander. What would your polite Canadian ancestors say?”
“They’d probably say you’re an asshole too,” Shane shot back instinctively, then smacked a palm to his forehead. “Fuck!”

The Bell Centre is only meant to close for a few days after the incident with the jumbotron. A week, at most.
But when further inspections reveal even worse problems, the Metros are forced to close their doors for an entire year.Ilya knows his boyfriend, Shane Hollander, Captain of the Montreal Metros, can't just stop playing hockey for a year. So when the league asks if any other team will be willing to host them for the season, Ilya volunteers the Boston Raiders.

He’ll think I’ve gone round the bend.” David barked again. “OK maybe he wouldn’t, as he’s American, but that doesn’t mean I need to humiliate myself by speaking to him. No. We admire and we leave with our dignity in tact. Yes?”
Henry looked back to see the stranger was no longer in his line of sight. Oh well. One last glance would have been nice but it really is for the best.

Alex can't stand Henry and resents Liam for bringing him (and Pez) into their friend group. He especially can't stand how good Henry looks tonight — how even from across the room, Alex can't take his eyes off of him in his stupid tight jeans.
