Rumi stops, glaring at Mira, who smirks at her.
She wiggles the remote up in the air. “Come get it.”
Rumi has half a mind to just jump. She could reach it. Between her training and her demon strength she’d have no problem jumping that high. And it’s not even that high.
But something else comes to mind.

Mira laughs, low and entirely too self-satisfied. “Aw, don’t be mad, princess.”
“Oh, I’m not mad.”
Mira raises an eyebrow, disbelieving.
Rumi shrugs and looks around the room. “In fact, I’m kind of surprised.”
She turns back, her gaze fixing on Mira, mirroring the same smugness she has.
She stalks forward, stopping inches from both Mira and Zoey, who haven’t moved an inch. In her peripheral she can see Zoey’s wide eyes, her body still leaning on Mira’s.
Rumi has to look up but the words that come out of her mouth are confident. “I showed you a 20-second routine and you turned it into an entire choreography? I mean, impressive, don’t get me wrong. But all this just for little old me?”
She tries to keep a straight face as she sees Mira’s expression falter. “Kind of pathetic of you, baby.”

Mira loves rage-baiting Rumi whenever she can but what happens when the same is done to her?
