“You comfy, Laud?” Laudna blinked out of her thoughts at the whisper in her ear, Imogen’s warm breath against the side of her cheek. She considered her answer; it wouldn’t do to lie to Imogen, not so soon after making up, even about something so small. But then, she’d have to tell the truth.
The truth, being that sitting sideways on Imogen’s lap, huddled close to her warm, soft body and cradled in her strong arms was maybe a little too comfortable.

Imogen and Laudna have been on stakeouts for five nights in a row, and something has to give.

Summary
Imogen and Laudna walk together in the forest nearby their cottage. In the crook of Laudna’s elbow, she carries an empty wicker basket for the things they find along their walk. Imogen’s wanted to make a stew of some sort, and she says that she can’t possibly make it if she doesn’t have any mushrooms to go into it, so that’s what Laudna is looking for. Laudna’s eyes are wide open, blinking owlishly as she scans the forest floor for edible ones. The crisp, early-autumn breeze pulls at her shawl, and she recoils as it blows up into her face.
Once Laudna’s gotten her shawl under control, she hears giggling at her side.

Laudna has a lot of fun with Imogen in the forest, mostly with her mouth.

Summary
Due to Laudna’s strength, Imogen did a lot of the heavy lifting throughout the day. While she does understand and it isn’t Laudna’s fault, Imogen still wishes that she didn’t have to do as much of it. She can barely lift her arms past chest-height, now, as she tries to pull their shared blanket over their legs.
“Glad we could–”
“Wha-What’s that?” the Halfling interrupts. “S-Speak up, girl, I c-can’t hear you.”

Summary
More of this complimentary back and forth. It was their fourth night here and Laudna had already been sweet on her a couple of other times. Imogen had said some kind things herself, but she meant them… and Laudna was just doing the same. Just being honest. But any more sweetness would just be more than she could take.
