It doesn’t click instantly in Jake’s head. He’s confused and looks around. For just a second it thinks Lexy has the wrong person. But, no. She wouldn’t approach him by mistake, are you kidding?
“What?” When Jake finally looks at her, she still has the same toxic smile on her face. They can’t help but wonder how her face can hold that stupid grin for so long.
“Earlier. In the library? Ugh.” Lexy finally looks away as she begins to dig through her purse. What she pulled out was a small container of perfume, spritzing it in Jake’s face a few times. “God, this is so not worth it.”

Jake felt his heart leap into this throat when he looked up, locking eyes with the stranger, face immediately flushing. Was he insane or was this the prettiest boy he'd ever seen?
"Huh?"
Not even having processed what the cloaked figure had said, still wrapped up in how attractive he was. Seriously, was it even possible to run into someone that pretty?
