They often woke up sometime just past the crack of dawn, Neil sometimes waking up first and stirring Andrew awake on his way out for a morning run, Andrew sometimes waking before Neil and slipping silently out of bed to smoke on the roof, and they went their separate ways without a single word about the night before. Never did they talk about fleeting touches or words whispered so quietly they were barely meant for the other to hear.
But they knew it happened, and they knew it would happen again, and that was enough. In fact, it was already more than it should have ever been in the first place.
Still, he never left.
