Summary
Maxwell Kanbayashi has always been able to see ghosts – and has always been scared of them. But when he discovers that this ability is something he, a human, shouldn't have, he fights to uncover where this ability came from, unearthing a mystery tying him to a long-dead world and an eldritch god obsessed with fulfilling a long held debt.
If he uncovers the truth, will his world be able to withstand what horrors await on the other side?
(Kid discovers he has magic powers and looks for answers, only to find much. MUCH more than he bargained for. Oops lol. Story deals with mental illness (primarily anxiety / panic attacks), emotional abuse and fighting to be yourself against greater powers that want to mold you into who they believe you should be.)

Summary
The young demon Trevor appears before an ancient deity, who claims that he is to become a god. But, plagued with painful flashbacks of being burned alive, he questions his fate and the unsettling feeling like he shouldn’t be here. Slowly, he unravels the unnerving truth behind his new destiny; or at least what this god will allow him to know.
