Summary
For supposedly being one of the finest Knowers in decades, Tally often felt like she knew very little.
She didn't know how to process the dreams that kept her up at night since becoming un-biddied. Mothertongue, that was tough. Handling Raelle and Abigail's teasing about her life choices, that could be a lot.
And mostly, she definitely didn't have a clue how to handle having a debilitating attraction and world-class crush on the most powerful woman on the literal planet, who definitely would never feel the same way.
Anyway. It was fine. It was all just fine.
Or,
Tally's nightmares never stop; in fact, they become a form of emotional torture that keeps her up at night. Alder, in a twist, agrees to help Tally through late-night meetings, and Tally is faced with an entirely different kind of emotional torture.

Summary
*EDIT* I have realized that this fic is going in a different direction than what I originally described. Yes, it is about food and exploration, but it is also about processing trauma. There are heavy conversations and a good amount of hurt/comfort. It is not all fluff!
A few months after season 3 ends, Sarah Alder shows up again, having been given the chance to live out her life. Her goal now is to eat as much new food as she can. Tally is along for the ride because she can't ignore her need to be close to the former general. Together, they embark on a light hearted, but heartfelt journey that brings them closer than they could have imagined.
This is meant to be sort of a cathartic resolution to what we all wanted from the Talder ship. I also wish the show had played more into Alder's eating habits. The one nacho scene was not enough. I don't know how long this will be. Just however long it takes for me to get these characters naturally to a place where they would accept their feelings for each other.
