The emperor of Dellaconshire is looking for a bride. The news spreads fast and widely throughout the realm. The contenders are just as vicious as they fight for the attention of the emperor.
In a small town, far away from the capital, a Baker sits, kneading dough and making cupcakes. Life is good, a struggle, but good enough except for the nights. When the moon climbs high and strikes the hour of the wolf, the Baker dreams. Of a white horse. Pearlescent skin that glimmers in the sunlight, fast and smooth.
The emperor doesn't care for the greedy nobles who have been clamoring for his attention. What he cares about is inviting every son and daughter of the realm to look for the one whom his son, his only heir, fell in love with.

Mrs. Sooyoung used to tell Jaeyun one sentence over their teaching period: Jaeyun, my dearest omega, don't ever marry an alpha that isn't as intelligent as you.
It might've been this sentence that put him in this place first, unmarried and alone. Because that was the root of his relations with alphas.

“So,” Tree Farm Guy says as he wraps their tree in twine and starts to drag it onto a toboggan. “What do you want for Christmas?”
“A new mommy,” Riki finally mumbles, and the answer makes Heeseung’s heart drop out of his ass and shatter on the pine needle-laden ground. From the shocked and slightly panicked look on the poor tree farmer’s face, his heart is doing the same thing. (Jake, Heeseung realizes he has nametag with big bubble letters and little star stickers around it. Jake looks like he wishes he’d never asked Riki anything.)
