But like their first trip to One-Eyed Jack’s proved, many a goon out there would happily bump off a lawman who didn’t find his footing quick enough. It was natural to feel responsible for Cooper’s safety - after all, he was here on Harry’s request. He had to make sure the Bureau’s finest returned in one piece.
