After coming to terms with some very new emotions they have both never felt before, Kris decides to meet up with him in Castle Town for some time alone. Soon enough, a new Dark World is specially created for them to have their own special adventure together as a pair. Hopefully Kris and Ralsei can accept their deepest feelings within themselves and prove that a flower truly can blossom in the dark, before the shadow of fate and prophesied tragedy arrives to change their lives forever...

Summary
Often described as odd by their constituents at the office water cooler, the relationship between Investigative Supervisor & Forensics Specialist, Captain Dreemurr, and Ralsei, the Chief of Police for the HTPD, was a hot topic for precinct gossip. Though the pair refused to openly admit it themselves, the partnership they had was undeniably magnetic, slowly blossoming over several years the more the two worked together.
After an extended period of particularly hard-hitting cases without one of their very important "consultations" to break up the stressful, whirlwind pace of investigative forensics, Ralsei was reaching the limits of his patience. Requests to meet had been consistently disregarded as of late, so Kris' obligation to obey orders as Ralsei's subordinate was more pertinent than ever, and their special treatment by the Chief practically begged to be addressed. A private visit in the Chief's office was terribly overdue, and now, Ralsei would no longer be taking the young Captain's pointed avoidance and dismissal for an answer.
An indulgent Deltanoir Kralsei fic, because I can't get this AU out of my head.

Summary
“… Normally, in games like this, when someone gets locked in a dark room with someone else it's like… There's an expectation that they'd kiss." Kris finishes their sentence, sounding quieter than before and almost pained, like they'd bitten out the words instead of letting them roll off their tongue.
And then their words actually register to Ralsei, who must immediately turn a bright red colour if the way Kris laughs tells him anything.
OR
Having a crush on your best friend is... Well, Ralsei is completely comfortable with keeping those feelings for Kris to himself. But a game of truth or dare threatens to upend all he's worked to keep to himself.
