The smug, cooing edge in the alpha's voice rubbed him the wrong way, and oh, how he wanted to beat some sense into the alpha.
“Listen, pup,” Yeonjun gritted through his teeth instead, holding onto the edge of the table to refrain himself from actually punching Soobin’s pretty face and tuning out the alpha's scent to keep an edge to his voice, “I’m not sure if you know how it works, but the older I get, the harder it’ll be for me to give you an heir.”

Never too tired for you, he wants to say, but refrains. That’s too desperete, even for Euijoo. Instead he pretends to think about it, going an extra mile by humming, then, “I’d probably be able to stay up for a while, I think,” he lies, just for the sake of it. “It depends, though.”
