Summary
Lestat waits for Louis to continue, and when he hears nothing more, realisation starts to hit.
He looks at Louis’ feet, the back of his ankles pressed against Lestat’s thigh, and places his hand on Louis’ leg, runs it down until it wraps around Louis’ ankle, gently pressing over the flesh, the pads of his fingers stroking the skin.
“Louis,” Lestat says, quietly. “You still have them.”
Or: Louis and Lestat talk about the rocks.

Summary
The problem is that Sam couldn’t have known that he would be pulled so deep into this. What makes it all so much more complicated is that he can see in Jacob’s eyes that whatever this is affects him just as much. Or perhaps it’s just Sam projecting his feelings on to Jacob, seeing things where they don’t exist; where they surely can’t exist.
Or: Sam tries to push down what he feels towards Jacob. Both of them struggle with it.

“That’s the thing, Louis.” Lestat offers him a small smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “I finally understand why you couldn’t love me back. It wasn’t easy to accept, but it’s time for me to be selfless and do the right thing.”
Louis can't stand the silence that follows. “What's the right thing to do, Lestat?”
“It’s time for me to let you go.”
Or: Lestat decides that it's time to part ways. Louis has a problem with that.

Summary
If Jacob weren’t a professional, he would lose himself in those eyes. The way Sam is looking at him—the way Lestat is looking at Louis—leaves him breathless for a moment. The mixture of tenderness and desire that he seems to convey so effortlessly is plastered all over his face.
Or: Jacob and Sam only to get to kiss once during season two. They make the most out of it.
