Durge needs to get away from the images in their head, telling them to hurt whom they like most. They are fairly certain they know who that is, but they’re not yet ready to admit it neither to themselves or to him, afraid what that would mean for the two of them.
They just needed to replace the images with something else, and what is a better distraction than some casual murder? They just hadn’t planned for it to diverge into more than the normal lighthearted stabbings and banter. -
