It was blurry, but it was enough.
The photo was indisputable proof she was on the right track. That she was close. So damn close she could taste the scent of Enid’s irritating yet addicting strawberry scented shampoo in the air.
Wednesday can acknowledge that after three months, the chance of her missing wolf smelling anything other than the rough, earthy scent of the outdoors was nigh impossible. But the aroma has followed her throughout the unending weeks of tracking, becoming slowly more powerful as time goes on. A growing illusion and a sign she was gradually losing her mind.
