Summary
Vessel had given himself to The Void long ago. This was his life now, and he had come to terms with it already. He was content to remain secluded in his day-to-day life, having become Sleep’s vessel and dedicated his existence to worshipping The Ancient One. Anything aside from rituals or other band-related duties that needed to be done in public could be done by the others with a bit of effort: long sleeves and a hood, lively make-up to cover their colorless skin, maybe a face mask or sunglasses. They could hide Sleep’s influence much less obviously than he could.
He knew he couldn’t go out like that anymore. Couldn’t comfortably be seen by the public.
Couldn’t stomach the thought of them gawking at his disfigured face.*Now complete with III/IV bonus chapter!*

Summary
All the pent up, lust-charged energy from the evening had IV’s hands shaking as he fumbled with the lock on the front door to their flat. It was hard enough to see the thing in the dark, and the way his vision kept frustratingly blurring in and out of focus certainly wasn’t helping.
Okay, sure. Maybe he’d had too many drinks, but at least he wasn’t as bad off as III was. He’d had to practically carry the man out of the pub, lanky arm draped over his shoulder and a near-dead weight hanging at his side. Not unlike how he was now, warm body clinging to IV’s arm and even hotter mouth nipping at the back of his neck.

Summary
Vessel swallowed the nerves tightening his throat at the memory. What had started as a little rough kissing in the dining room after dinner ended with Vessel on his knees begging to take III into his needy mouth. But III had been in a mood, sneering and teasing and refusing to give Vessel anything without making him earn it, and Vessel couldn’t get enough.
They had played this game before, III his master and Vessel his willing pet, but this time was different, and The First was fighting to keep his nerves in check.
III had promised him a surprise, a reward for always being such a “good boy” for him, and Vessel’s mind was racing with thoughts of what III had in store for him, already hard and dripping eagerly between his knees. But even that was part of the game. Keeping Sleep’s First waiting and on edge, making his reward that much sweeter when he was finally allowed it.

Summary
II says, “Well, it's two to a room this time,” in a tone that snaps Vessel back to the present and makes him think he should already know that answer. It was likely part of the spiel that he'd missed out on while he was busy being swept out to sea by the sunshine shimmer in II's eyes.
“So we're bunking together, Three and Ivy will be in the next room over...?” Vessel hazards a guess, and to his gladness II nods.
When II carefully adds, “It'll be kind of like old times,” audible to Vessel and no one else, and quieter still, “just you and me,” it's as effective as crushing fingertips into Vessel's jugular, constricting the veins that connect his head to his heart.
____________Or: the band takes a surprise pit stop in a small desert town on their way through New Mexico, and II and Vessel don't let a heatwave stop them from taking advantage of the rare opportunity for privacy.
