If he had considered it hard enough, he could have come to the conclusion that a part of him longed for the way he had felt the last time he let Hajime do a little more than touch him. But Tooru didn’t. Because in the end, Iwaizume Hajime was just a boxer. And a boy, at that. That’s all that he could ever be.
And Suga was wrong, really— it wasn’t denial that stopped him from being anything more. It was self preservation. But if there was one thing Tooru had failed to learn in life, it was that the world always bites back just when you think you have it right.

Summary
Following the battle to free Xornoth and Scott from the clutches of the prophecy that hung over them, a festival and series of masquerade balls are held as a celebration and encouragement of international cooperation and friendship.
Count Fwhip, nervous to attend the gatherings in Rivendell, finds the courage to attend the masquerades anonymously, hiding his identity from even Gem. Along the way, he meets a mysterious gentleman who wants to court him.
With the courtship well on its way, the festival and masquerades end and identities are revealed, leading to Fwhip getting swept into a deeper and more expansive relationship.
