Now Pomni is pregnant, and the feelings she had been pushing down about the father of the child are becoming harder and harder to ignore. If only Jax would let her love him the way she knows he deserves.

On days that the goddess chose to descend, it felt as if the moon glared daggers at the earth.
The streets drained of townsfolk, the winds picked up in a blustery, furious storm. The trees swayed back and forth, a foreboding dance that warned of the destruction in store for this humble world.
A young girl, hair glimmering in the moonlight, stood where no one else dared to on nights like these.
She stood, feeble human body seeming to beg for death in it’s weakness, donning a schoolgirl’s robes and a hat that threatened to be swept away by the wind.
She looked into the eyes of the moon, and she glared back.

Really, he didn’t.
Something about the entire atmosphere of the place just killed any horny energy in him. Like turning a light switch on and off. There was just a certain dread that came with an existential prison that made the notion seem unsavory.
And then, Pomni showed up.

Summary
Caine has realized that the “audience” for the circus (the audience doesn’t exist, y’all) is mostly adults who think the circus is TOO family-friendly. Therefore, while they are not required, there is now room for “mature themes”. (this means that they can swear and have sex. They figure the first one out right away. The second one takes a minute.)
So Caine starts sending them on slightly raunchier adventures. (they’re really barely any different by principle, but they get steadily worse as the characters figure out what they’re capable of.)
Hijinks ensue.

Why did she feel like that? What had even happened? She didn’t even know that this body was capable of feeling arousal. She’d never felt like that before, here. She didn’t even know it was possible. They couldn’t even cuss, for [BEEP] sake!
And having this reaction to Jax of all people. Ugh. Maybe she was just pent up, and hadn’t realized it. This is surely the case.
Or, after a quite unbearably awkward (in Pomni's opinion) encounter with Jax, Pomni is left to her own devices to work it out of herself. Hopefully this doesn't awaken anything in her!
