Summary
Techno looked off towards an entrance to the woods. He jumped when he saw a tall figure standing directly in the middle of the entrance.
The figure held a glowing light in their hands, which blew out once Techno spotted the figure. It turned back towards the forest, and started to walk back into the trees.
Techno's curiosity got the better of him, so he ran towards the woods. Snow crunched beneath his boots, the cold and whispering wind whipping at his face.
Techno stopped at the entrance and looked into the forest.
There, standing between the trees, was the figure again. The glowing light that it held in its hands remained there even after Techno had ran into the trees towards the figure.

Tommy nodded. His ears stayed down as he sat down in the grass. "There was this one man though. He would always leave food out for me. He took care of me when no one else did."
Kristin covered her mouth with her hand. "Oh my goodness..."
Tommy looked up to the reaper with a sad hope in his eyes. "Kristin, could I see him one last time?"
Kristin bent down and pet Tommy's head so she could collect his soul. She straightened up and looked down at Tommy, smiling softly. "Of course."

It was starting to get late, and Wilbur was trying to get Tommy to bed. But Tommy's 8, and is too invested in the Pokémon show on the TV to start getting ready for bed.
"But daaaaaad, my show is on!" Tommy groaned after Wilbur informed him it was time for bed.
"I know sweets, but you have school tomorrow. We can always record it so you can watch it when you come home."
"NO! I want to watch it NOW!" Tommy yelled.
Wilbur sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Tommy, I won't ask again. It's time for bed."

It was late at night when Wilbur was startled awake by the sound of screaming. He shot up from his bed and raced towards Tommy's room.
"DAD! DAD HELP!" Tommy shrieked as two figures wrestled with him.
Tommy tried to get away from the two figures as best he could. He kicked and screamed and bit, just as he was told to do in instances of kidnappings, but the figures would not budge.
"DAD HELP! PLEASE!" Tommy screamed to Wilbur, not realizing he was calling him something so special.
It didn't matter right now, Tommy needed help. He needed help, he didn't want to leave. He never wanted to leave. Oh dear God, someone save him.

Tommy moved his head, chin resting on Wilbur’s chest as he looked up at him. Wilbur looked down, meeting his sky blue eyes.
“I was thinking…”
Wilbur gave a quiet snort. “That’s never good.”
Tommy huffed with a small smile before his expression fell. “I mean it though.”
Wilbur nodded as he snapped the book shut and set it aside. “I’m listening.”
Tommy stared at him for a moment, considering what he was going to say.
“I… I was thinking about you.”
“About me?” Wilbur’s brow raised.
“Mmhmm…” Tommy hummed. “I was thinking about how you are… like… immortal, right?”
Wilbur blinked at him. “Yes?”
“S—so like… When I… y’know… you’ll be all alone.”
Wilbur’s brows pinched together. “I know what?”
“When I’m dead, Wil. When I die you won’t have any one.”
Wilbur felt his heart sink.
He knew they’d have this conversation one day, and he’s sure he knows where it’s going. He just didn’t think he’d have to have it so soon.
Or, Tommy thinks about the future. Wilbur gives him room to do so.
