Summary
Rafayel is the soon to be god of the sea but before he can fully assume the title he needs to find his bride to be. Per tradition, the bride of the sea god is always a human that the god must find within a year. If he is unable to locate her then he loses his godly power and remains human. If he does find her and bring her back to the sea kingdom of Lemuria by the end of the year then he shall fully ascend to godhood.
Only problem is that Rafayel has never been out of the sea before and has no idea how to start looking for his bride. That is until he finds an ad for Amorous Alchemy, a matchmaking service operated by a struggling matchmaker who likes finding love for others but not so much for herself. When she accepts Rafayel as a client she is unaware of the events that this handsome otherworldly man will bring to her life.

Who can resist merman Rafayel? Certainly stronger hearts and minds than I.
I saw a writing prompt that said "Sirens who learn to use sign so that they don't involuntarily drown their friends," and immediately turned it to "A siren who is trying rather hard to drown you, but unfortunately for him you are unable to hear." Main Character is born profoundly deaf and has never experienced sound. I am hard of hearing myself but it has developed over time rather than from birth. I hope I have treated this subject with the respect it deserves! Please let me know your thoughts.
