“Trust me, the urge to punch my sister has not changed since we were toddlers. I’m just a little more mature at dealing with it now. You literally listen to me complain about her all the time. You watched us give each other the silent treatment for several hours at Christmas last year.”
Hayden, considering this, hesitantly joined her at the counter to continue drying dishes. “Yeah, I guess when you put it like that. Its just that…you guys seem so close. You know... when you're not fighting.”
“Well I mean yeah. I would die for her, but I’d also like to kill her half the time.” Jackie said it so casually, like it made any fucking sense. Hayden didn’t respond—he didn’t know what to say. He just accepted that he’d never fully understand what it was like to have a sibling.
And then along came Ilya Rozanov.

Shane Hollander was a man on a mission: Prove that he was as much of a simp for his husband as, if not more than, Ilya Rozanov.
(Or four times someone notes how whipped Ilya Rozanov was + one time Shane Hollander showed the world that he was equally whipped)

Summary
The past few months had been a whirlwind for Shane and Ilya but they finally had everything they had only dared to dream of: living together, married, playing for the same team, and being able to love each other out loud. Shane couldn’t be happier.
Except, with all the time and freedom they had never been afforded before, Shane finds himself noticing things about his husband and reflecting on their past in a new light. Ilya has been through a lot but with each realization, Shane vows to make sure his husband knows how loved and supported he is now and forever.
(Loosely inspired by Noah Kahan’s song The Great Divide. Each chapter can be read on its own but they’ll ~hopefully~ flow together).
