“Did you feel that chill just now?” Jayce looked up from his papers at Viktor.
“Strange, it must be a draft.”
And somewhere, somehow, in a dimension that is not our own, two very real men turn back to their research.

“Jayce, I’m crazy about you,” you say breathlessly. “I’ve liked you since the day we met, and my feelings have only grown ever since. You’re…everything,” you confess.
Jayce huffs a small sigh. “I’m really glad you feel the same way.” He pulls you into a hug, and you relax into his touch, squeezing back.
But before he can break the hug, you decide to take a chance of your own.
Confidence growing, you whisper in his ear, in a saccharine voice, “So. What are you gonna do about it?”

“You’re right. There’s no comparison,” he flinches, but you continue. “Because I would never dream to draw such silly comparisons between two of the most brilliant men I know. You’re not Jayce, but I would never expect you to be, because you’re amazing the way you are.”
He blushes a little, but replies ruefully; “Not amazing enough, clearly.”
You pause for a second, and devise a truly foolhardy plan. You don’t have enough time to think it through, so you take a leap of faith.
“Would you like me to show you exactly what I think of you?”
