“Charming! But couldn’t you get your own food, Macklin?” Daisy replied with a wide smile and a slow wink.
Mack, who was chewing on a piece of bread, swallowed with difficulty, taking a sip of water while trying to control his laughter. He couldn't blame Daisy; in fact, their dynamic was indeed strange. But her tone was filled with contempt and mockery. And the omega was exhausted. Being pregnant sucks. Even more when they try to set up a date for your baby's daddy.
Blinking his long eyelashes and flashing a smile, Mack sighed before saying in a soft voice, “I could. But since Will got me pregnant, he’s trying hard to please me.”

Summary
And despite the constant urge to bite into Mack’s neck and shift their relationship to more, Will didn’t. He respected the boundaries which Mack had placed when they had started their whole ‘friends-with-benefits’ relationship during their first season. And since Mack hadn’t suggested anything more between them, Will was fine to continue with how things were, because, as was mentioned before, at least he got part of the omega that no one else did. That was enough to have his alpha tamed into contentment.
Until, well, things changed. And Will’s alpha could no longer just sit back and allow things to continue the way they started spiralling to.
Or;
Mack and Will are friends-with-benefits who don’t communicate properly. Mack wants a pup, but he thinks that Will doesn’t so he starts to pull away. (They’re both idiots in love).
