Jake was shocked that Sean would ask such a stupid question like that, “My best friend in the whole wide world?” Sean burst out laughing, “Yeah, sure, whatever you say… you’re so stupid it hurts.” Jake scoffed, of course it was what he said. He was his best friend, and it was very true to him. Sean was just blowing this entire situation up, he may be stupid but he isn’t /that/ stupid, he was in college and he was a far bit smarter than some other people he knew!

Summary
Sean felt like he was drowning in emotions, he didn’t know how to even begin with all of the things he was thinking about. Jake reached out his arms for a hug, trying to keep his cool and not make anything worse. He wished this all was a dream, Sean fell to his knees and grabbed onto Jake’s legs like it was the only thing that would keep him stable since his legs were akin to jello. He stared up at Jake’s face, it seemed like he was going to cry too, but obviously trying to hide it for the betterment of how Sean felt. Jake knew Sean didn’t like to make others feel negative emotions, this was a well-known fact by all of Sean’s friends actually.

He walked out to see Jake directly standing there, leaning against the wall ‘casually’, but in all actuality he looked awfully awkward. “Heyyy, what’s up.” Jake looked smug as all hell but also quite stupid. Sean snorted, he began laughing so hard he was coughing and his lungs hurt, so, so bad. Between laughs he spoke, “Okay, okay, you look so… very… extremely… idiotic!” He couldn’t stop giggling for whatever reason, this was just extraordinarily funny to him. Jake seemed confused and stopped leaning on the wall and held Sean’s shoulders firmly suddenly, causing him to jump. “Dude, calm the fuck down, it can /not/ be that funny to see me just leaning on the damn wall!” Sean looked up with tears in his eyes from laughing so much, he was trying to conceal a smile but it was quite obvious.

Jake was zoning out for a while as he watched some television, before hearing a loud /thud/ in the other room, and Jake called out for Sean. “Sean, you okay? What was that loud noise for?” No response, odd, but maybe he just didn’t hear him. So Jake got up and stretched lazily, tired, but not too tired to the point he would’ve fallen asleep on the couch. Either way he needed to go check up on Sean, he was probably just listening to music too loud and everything else was being cancelled out. He walked out of the main room and into the hallway, knocking loudly on the door of the room Sean was in. Still not anything being said, maybe he just can’t hear him.

Jake walked into Sean’s line of sight with a some-what guilty looking expression plastered across his face. He was hiding his arms in his sleeves, a sight Sean really didn’t want to be seeing, not right now, not ever in his life did he want this for Jake or himself. He took a deep breath before muttering under his breath, “What will I ever do? A cycle of endless torment that only hurts the both of us.” It was loud enough for Jake to hear, he could see Jake’s facial expression shift to resemble even more of a guilty dog who knew it did something wrong. Jake shifted uncomfortably under Sean’s exhausted gaze, Jake then mumbled a weak apology, “Sorry, I really know you try to help, but I have problems just like you do. I don’t mean to it’s just fuck… I don’t know anymore, I…” His words became unintelligible with how quiet he became.
