Summary
Hanzo seemed like the type of man who would feel like he was “outside looking in”, even if he was standing in the same room as them. Even the conversations where Cassidy had felt that they were getting closer didn’t seem to hit the same to the other man. Almost as if they had been speaking a different language.
But the language of food? That was universal.
Cooking was a way to speak without words, a way to help others in hard times and make life just a little easier for them. Meals had more than time and effort put in, they had love and soul. There was no better way to let someone know that you gave a shit about them and cared.
It was the only 'in' Cassidy had figured out for Hanzo he was going to cling onto it. Hanzo was an interesting guy, damn handsome too, and outside of his own natural tendency to need a read on his team mates, he almost felt a connection with him, one he wasn’t sure was returned. The brief slashes of personality he had caught, between being a polite gentleman to making sarcastic remarks under his breath that you could just catch… they were as enticing as Hanzo was pretty. Cole wanted… no, needed to learn more.

Summary
One chance in a lifetime.
Hanzo has joined Overwatch with some convincing to try and atone for his past. Having been warmly welcomed by all the current members, his attention focuses on Cole Cassidy - a cowboy who he feels an admittedly unwanted draw toward. Despite not allowing himself to admit his feelings, Cassidy offers for both of them to embark on a mission together as a duo. This solitude and physical closeness will force Hanzo to face his thoughts and emotions head-on.

Summary
Hanzo Shimada was a proud man. Presenting as an omega had been difficult, surely. Being seen as a nurturer rather than aggressive alpha, but he had made it work for him. After all, omegas were given their choice of alphas. They were choosy and growing up in the anticipation of being alpha made him all the more discerning.
Enter Cole Cassidy. Well meaning and taught how to treat an omega right, he is bound and determined to make up for the blunderous first impressions he has left, to show Hanzo that alphas aren't all knot and no brain.
