Then he remembers the look on Faraday's face and the words 'I wanted to let him rest somewhere he'd like'. He shudders.
"We're not leaving him here," he says in a tone that allows no argument. "I won't do that to him, to either of them. We're going to find him and lay him to rest properly, the way he should have been already."

An alternate first meeting, canon-divergent version of events in which Din and Luke first meet on Tatooine. Then the Empire comes. Nine years pass until the events of S2E08 "The Rescue." Nine years in which Din Djarin believes that his husband is dead.
