"His purpose of the last years had been left abandoned, unfulfilled, and now he felt that there was truly nothing to live for anymore, and he had no one but himself to blame.
And then... suddenly, Geum-ja and Yong-sik came over to him. And Yong-sik told him the truth, the truth about the failed rebellion, of who was really at fault. He could finally blame everything that went wrong on something, somebody, that wasn't him. He was able to take solace on the fact that he wasn't the only one at fault, but Dae-ho was. And he also now had emotions flowing through him, his anger taking over to create a new purpose: vengeance. A vengeance that wasn't on a person whom he couldn't even see his face, but someone whom he could see his sleeping, shaking form from where he was if he just craned his neck enough."

“Better?” Kaoru throws his head back to look up at Kojiro. He has a slightly amused look on his eyes, one that has Kaoru huffing, but there’s also warmth and care, the kind of look Kojiro always has while looking at the kids while they aren’t looking, as well as Kaoru when he thinks he isn’t looking. But Kaoru also discerns something else on his face. Maybe it’s in the way his lips are slightly parted, or how he isn’t looking right into his eyes, but it has Kaoru shifting in his seat.
Or: Kaoru has back pains from his posture. Kojiro helps.
