Without hesitating, Lance lifted his good hand to rest on Keith’s cheek and stroked his thumb across it, silently appreciating his pouty features as he swallowed. “Tell me every day you love me more,” He finally demanded dramatically and breathlessly, flitting his gaze down to Keith’s shoulders instead of the intensity of his eyes, “maybe that would work.”
“That wouldn’t even be a challenge.” Keith said quietly.

Summary
Keith nods just slightly in his hands, so Lance believes he’s been given permission and leans forward to press a fleeting kiss to his lips. In the back of his head he hopes it’s the best kiss Keith has ever had, but he’s quickly distracted by the hand fisting in the front of his shirt and forcing him a few inches back.
“Oh my god, you were right.” Pidge groans, rubbing her face.
Shiro looks a little stunned at the display, and maybe a little guilty, like he should have realized Lance’s mistake before it steamrolled into Keith’s discomfort—but Keith, himself, is wearing a very neutral expression. He licks his lips, and Lance is distracted by it a moment, even if it was a very plain kiss that he shouldn’t be distracted by. “See?” Keith says, tearing his eyes away and looking to Shiro, “We’re great actors.”

Summary
Lance turns to Keith one day and asks, “Did you know me and you are the same shoe size?” It’s quieter than Lance is known to be because they’re in the middle of a meeting, and Keith shakes his head almost imperceptibly—because they’re in the middle of a meeting.
“How do you know that?” Keith whispers back when Lance doesn’t immediately elaborate and Shiro is detailing some of the work Keith had done on his last Marmora run.
Lance’s expression rapidly changes through a few different and distinct emotions, his face reddening across his cheeks and to the tips of his ears. “Pay attention.” He hisses.

Summary
“Keith.” Shiro’s voice was quiet but commanding, snapping Keith out of his spiralling thoughts. “There are no other options. I need you to trust Lance. Trust me.”
Keith’s jaw tightened. His mind screamed at him to fight, to refuse, to do something, anything, that didn’t involve Lance risking his life like this. But Shiro was right. He exhaled sharply, forcing down the worry that threatened to bubble over.
“Fine,” Keith muttered, turning away. He looked over to the blue paladin who was still eyeing him with a perplexed look. “Just be careful, Lance.”
Lance gave him a quick grin, though Keith could see the excitement in his eyes. “I’m always careful. Don’t worry so much. Everything’s gonna be fine.”
