“What?”
“Are you glamoured or Polyjuiced? You cannot tell me that Hermione Granger doesn’t know what studying is.”
Hermione’s face took on the first genuine expression it had held in days. She narrowed her eyes at the tall brunette on the other side of the small room. “Why would I study? What would I study?”
“You won’t eat, you won’t sleep, and if I know you, it’s killing you to not be doing something. You wouldn’t let a little war get in between you and your NEWTs, would you?”
“But you don’t know me, Nott.”
“Is that so? Or do you just not know me?” He made the statement without malice, simply curiosity.
Following the torture at the hands of Bellatrix at Malfoy Manor, Dobby manages to get everyone out except for Hermione. The Dark Lord decides that Hermione is too useful to kill or torture into insanity, so she is transferred to the home of another loyal follower. Hermione doesn’t know what she’s expecting from her imprisonment at Nott Manor, but it’s not Theodore.
