'Guilt gnaws at him like a starving dog and none of his teammates have mentioned anything of the sort. It’s so overwhelmingly casual it’s driving him crazy. He was expecting spite, vitriol even. Anger for his inaction. The most he gets is some sideways looks that could be his imagination.
Foolishly, he had thought that re-swearing his loyalty would clear his head. All it did was make him see Giorno in a slightly different light. Despite his position, he doesn’t treat him any different. Doesn’t even want to be called anything other than his name. All at once, it’s refreshing and off-putting.'

Summary
'“Fugo,” he starts, placing his free hand over the other's, “you do just as much for me. There is nothing you can give to me that I’m unwilling to take." And he continues, "Talk to me.”
It’s a simple command, but one that’s spoken with much weight. One that tiptoes the line between ordering and begging. The pinch in his eyebrows makes it seem a lot more like the latter.
In turn, Fugo looks a little taken aback, eyes widening minutely and breath catching in his throat. When Giorno releases his weak grasp, he fails to suppress a shudder.
“It’s just-” he takes a moment of pause to steady his breathing, “God, I fuckin’ miss him.”'
Nearing six months post phf, Giorno and Fugo talk about the past in less than ideal circumstances. (Sitting on a public park bench after Fugo almost passes out in hot ass weather.)

Summary
'The current scene reminds him of their reunion. Sitting across from each other, sun shining through curtains, and Giorno making everything better. Fugo wishes he could speak to himself as he was at that time. It wasn’t long ago, but his state of mind has certainly changed since. There’s still plenty of grief, anxiety, and sorrow, but the helplessness has since faded. Mostly, he just wants to tell himself that the feeling wouldn’t last forever. Life goes on, and it slowly drifts away.
Giorno just keeps looking at him. Soft and patient. Like a lover. As soon as the thought crosses his mind he diverts his attention back to the conversation. He really can't afford to spare energy on thoughts like that. Not now, and hopefully not ever if he can keep himself busy enough'
Fugo and Giorno have an important, slightly disorienting conversation over coffee that doesn't taste good.... lowkey you should read the last part of this series if u want this to make much sense.

'“Oh, I didn’t know you were working!,” Fugo opens his eyes wide, a sharp look on his face, “You’re hardly taking this seriously, do you even know how many things could go wrong in this situation?!”
“Yeah, believe it or not, I happen to have an idea of it, Fugo.” Narancia grits out, irritated.'
15 and 16 year old Fugo and Narancia are sent on a mission together. They get a flat tire on the way there, and deal with it about as well as you'd expect.

Summary
'Giorno can tell he’s not hurt, so he brushes the thoughts of an attack from the front of his mind. He inches closer, sitting beside Fugo on the blanket splayed out in the small clearing. It’s then that he smells it, and the scene in front of him makes more sense. Fugo isn’t terribly wounded or out of his mind, he’s just a sad drunk. Giorno doesn’t exactly fare well with drunkards, but Fugo clearly poses much less threat than usual at the moment, so he doesn’t take issue.
Cautiously, Giorno reaches to touch his shoulder, and when he doesn’t flinch away, semi-awkwardly starts to rub a hand up and down his back. Fugo wipes his face on his sleeve and turns to look at Giorno from where he’s hunched over. He squints his teary eyes in confusion, being met with sympathy in the other’s. It makes him cry harder.'
Fugo drinks to feel better, but the only benefit it supplies is Giorno hugging him. A sort of prequel to my other Fugio fic, but can be read as a standalone.
